Recycled Cork Counter Tops
Our ReCork System for Counter tops is an exciting new product created with the Do-It-Yourselfer in mind. This system allows you to refinish your old counter top in a unique, stylish, and durable way yourself all in a weekend! The products contained in our kit are ALL earth-friendly and the cork component itself is made from materials reclaimed during the manufacturing of cork wine bottles. The sealants you will be using are low to no VOC and made with soy based esters. The finished product will be ready to use in six hours, fully-cured for normal use in 48 hours.
This product is really unbelievable. First, I can't believe how nice my counter top looks. Second, I can't believe how durable the cork is. And third, I can't believe that I was able to do it myself. This replaces my previous best DIY project . . . getting my daughter's earring out the drain! I love that I am the only one in my neighborhood with a recycled cork counter top! Cork is tan, but it is also very "green" making it the perfect Earth-friendly option for your kitchen remodeling. Cork is the bark of the cork oak tree. This tree produces a 
layer of cork every 9 years, so taking the bark off does not kill the tree. The bark is then used to make wine corks. The process of manufacturing wine corks results in corks and cork waste. 70% of the bark ends up as cork waste. the cork that we use in our products is granulated cork which is made from only the waste by-product of industrial cork production. Our supplier also buys used wine corks and recycles them.
We also offer a special SoyCork System for Counter tops for Certified Applicators that allows the remodeling professional to offer recycled cork counter tops to their customers with our special UV coating for a finished product that is cured in seconds.
